Prayer for Mental Clarity and Peace

Lord, my mind is a crowded place today.

Thoughts pile upon thoughts.
Worries multiply before I can address them.
The noise inside is louder than the noise outside.

I need you to meet me here —
not in the calm I do not have,
but in the chaos I do.

Bring order to my thinking.
Bring gentleness to my self-perception.
Help me remember that I am more than my worst thoughts,
more than my most anxious moments.

You made this mind. You know it well.
Hold it now, with care.
