Prayer for Calmness

Still my racing thoughts, Lord.
Slow my anxious heart.
Breathe into this moment your peace.

I do not need to solve everything today.
I do not need to carry tomorrow's weight today.
I do not need to be everywhere at once.

I only need to be here.
In this breath.
In this moment.
In your presence.

Let the storms outside rage if they must.
But inside — in the deep place where you dwell —
let there be calm.

You are the peace that passes all understanding.
Let me know it now.
