A Prayer for Courage When Afraid

A Christianity prayer for mental illness.

Heavenly Father, fear sometimes makes the road ahead appear greater than it truly is. Give me courage not because I know exactly what will happen, but because I know I do not have to face uncertainty without faith.

When fear tells me to give up, strengthen me to take the next step. When my confidence disappears, remind me of the challenges I have already survived and the strength You have given me along the way.

May courage rise within me and faith become stronger than fear. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
