A Prayer for Hope After a Door Closes

A Christianity prayer for strength.

Gracious Lord, a door I hoped would remain open has closed, and I do not yet understand where I should go from here. Help me accept what I cannot change without believing that every opportunity has disappeared.

Give me wisdom to recognize new directions that I may never have considered before. Keep me from spending so much time looking at the closed door that I fail to notice another path opening before me.

Lead me toward what is good, meaningful, and right for my life, and give me courage when it is time to begin again. In Christ, Amen.
