Heavenly Father,

As I face this difficult day, give me strength for what lies immediately before me.

When problems seem larger than my ability to handle them, help me take one step at a time. Guard my words when frustration rises, steady my thoughts when circumstances become overwhelming, and give me wisdom for each decision.

Place helpful people along my path and remind me that asking for support is not weakness.

Whatever today brings, help me reach its end with courage, grace, and hope still alive within me.

When fear tells me to retreat, give me courage to take the next faithful step.

Today my body hurts and I am tired of carrying the burden of Crohn’s disease. Meet me here, in this difficult day, and give me the strength I cannot find within myself.

When I cannot think beyond the present moment, give me enough courage for the next hour and enough hope for tomorrow.
