A Prayer for Strength on a Painful Crohn’s Day

Lord of compassion,

Today my body hurts and I am tired of carrying the burden of Crohn’s disease. Meet me here, in this difficult day, and give me the strength I cannot find within myself.

Bring comfort to my intestines, calm the inflammation troubling my body, and help me find relief.

When I cannot think beyond the present moment, give me enough courage for the next hour and enough hope for tomorrow.

May this painful day pass, and may gentler days come again.
