A Prayer of Thanksgiving for a Life Remembered

A Christianity prayer for loss of a loved one.

Creator of the Universe,

Thank You for the life of the person I remember today and for the unique way their presence touched this world. Thank You for their laughter, their kindness, the lessons they taught, and the memories that death cannot take away.

Help me honor their life by carrying forward the goodness they gave to me. May the love they showed inspire me to love others more generously and appreciate the people who are still beside me.

When remembering them brings sadness, let it also remind me how precious it was to have shared part of life's journey with them.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.
