A Prayer During a Crohn’s Flare

Merciful Father,

In the midst of this Crohn’s flare, I ask for Your comfort and sustaining strength. Calm the inflammation affecting my intestines and bring relief to the pain and exhaustion that accompany this illness.

Help me through the difficult hours and give me patience when recovery takes longer than I wish.

Give wisdom to my medical team, help me care wisely for my body, and lead me toward calmer and healthier days.

When illness consumes my attention, remind me that my life is greater than this difficult moment and that hope remains.
