A Prayer for Wisdom and Discernment

A Christianity prayer for guidance.

Gracious Lord, give me wisdom that looks deeper than appearances and discernment that recognizes truth even when it is difficult to hear. Help me distinguish between what I merely want and what will genuinely bring goodness into my life and the lives of others.

Teach me to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and consider advice without surrendering my responsibility to make wise choices. Protect me from deception, impulsiveness, and decisions made only to please others.

Shape my judgment through compassion, truth, humility, and faith, so that my choices reflect the person You are calling me to become. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
