A Prayer for Wisdom

Holy God,

Give me wisdom deeper than knowledge and understanding greater than my first impressions.

Teach me when to speak and when to listen, when to persevere and when to change direction, when to act and when to wait.

Keep pride from convincing me that I already have every answer. Give me humility to learn from others and discernment to recognise what is true and good.

May the choices I make bring peace rather than unnecessary conflict, healing rather than harm, and goodness not only to myself but also to those around me.
