A Prayer for Comfort in Grief

A Christianity prayer for loss of a loved one.

Lord God, there are moments when grief feels heavier than I know how to carry. Be near to me when memories bring tears and when I long to hear the voice of the person I have lost once more.

Give me permission to grieve without believing that I must always appear strong. Surround me with patient and compassionate people who understand that healing does not happen according to a timetable.

As the days continue, help sorrow slowly make room for gratitude, beautiful memories, and renewed hope. In Jesus' name, Amen.
