Prayer for Friends and Relatives

Lord, I lift up to you today
the people who have shaped my life.

My friends — who have laughed with me,
listened to me, and stayed through the difficult seasons.
My family — bound to me by blood and by choice,
imperfect and irreplaceable.

Bless each one.
Protect them from harm I cannot see.
Provide for needs I may not know about.
Bring joy into their ordinary days.

And where relationships are strained,
where distance has grown,
where hurt has not yet healed —
bring your grace into those spaces too.
