Great Physician Father,

Bless the doctors, nurses, paramedics, carers, and health workers who devote themselves to caring for others.

Give them wisdom when decisions are difficult, clarity when answers are uncertain, compassion when patients are frightened, and endurance when their own strength is running low.

Protect them from becoming hardened by everything they witness. Renew within them the compassion that first called them to care for others.

May their knowledge bring healing, their words bring reassurance, and their presence remind those who suffer that they have not been abandoned.
