A Prayer for Wisdom in Choosing Friends

A Christianity prayer for friends & relatives.

Lord God,

Give me wisdom in choosing the people I allow to influence my life. Lead me toward friendships built upon honesty, respect, encouragement, kindness, and a desire to bring out what is good in one another.

Give me discernment to recognize relationships that repeatedly lead toward dishonesty, cruelty, or harm. At the same time, keep me from judging people too quickly and help me see others with compassion and humility.

May I choose my friends wisely and also become a trustworthy and uplifting friend to others.
