A Christianity prayer for friends & relatives.

Loving Lord, teach me to become the kind of friend I would hope to have beside me. Help me listen carefully, speak truth with kindness, keep confidences faithfully, and remain present when someone I care about is struggling.

Keep me from jealousy when my friends succeed and from disappearing when their lives become difficult. Give me a generous heart that celebrates their happiness and shares their burdens.

May my friendships be marked by loyalty, honesty, compassion, forgiveness, and genuine love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
