Prayer Before Study

Lord of all wisdom,
I open my mind to learn today.

Grant me focus when distraction calls.
Grant me patience when understanding is slow to come.
Grant me humility to sit as a student before the great body of knowledge you have allowed us to accumulate.

May what I learn today
become not just information but formation —
shaping me into someone wiser,
more capable of serving others,
more able to contribute something good to this world.

Let learning be an act of reverence.
