Prayer Before a Meal

Bless us, O Lord,
and these gifts which we are about to receive
from your bounty,
through Christ our Lord.

May we be mindful of those who go hungry.
May we be grateful for the hands that grew,
prepared, and shared this food.
May this meal nourish our bodies,
and may the company at this table
nourish our souls.

Amen.
