Protect those still in danger and strengthen rescuers searching for those who need help. Provide shelter for the displaced, comfort for the grieving, and practical assistance for families who have lost homes and possessions.

Give communities courage as they begin the long work of rebuilding.

Move people near and far toward generosity, and from devastation bring forth remarkable acts of courage, compassion, and neighbourly love.
