God of mercy,

Where hurt has created distance between people, make a way toward reconciliation.

Give us humility to recognise our own mistakes, courage to apologise sincerely, and patience to hear another person's pain without immediately defending ourselves.

Where forgiveness is possible, help it grow. Where trust must be rebuilt slowly, give wisdom and patience. And where reconciliation would not be safe or appropriate, grant peace, healthy boundaries, and freedom from bitterness.

Teach us to become people who repair rather than deepen divisions.

Gracious Father,

I bring before You the things I wish I had done differently—the words I should not have spoken, the kindness I withheld, and the choices that caused hurt.

Forgive me, and do more than remove my guilt: change my heart. Give me humility to apologise where I have caused harm, courage to make amends where possible, and wisdom not to repeat the same mistakes.

Teach me also to extend to others the mercy I ask from You.

May forgiveness become not an excuse for yesterday, but the beginning of a better tomorrow.

Merciful Father,

I come before You with humility, acknowledging my sins and my need for Your mercy. Thank You for loving me even when I have fallen short of Your glory.

Cleanse my heart from pride, selfishness, anger, and every sin that separates me from You. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Teach me not only to receive Your forgiveness but also to extend forgiveness to others, just as Christ has forgiven me. Remove bitterness from my heart and replace it with compassion, patience, and love.

Help me to turn away from temptation and to walk each day in obedience to Your Word. Let Your Holy Spirit guide my thoughts, my decisions, and my relationships.

Thank You for the grace made possible through Jesus Christ and for the hope of new beginnings. May my life be a testimony to Your mercy and transforming love.

I have not always been the person I intended to be.

I have spoken words I wish I could unsay.

I have made choices I am not proud of.

I have hurt people I love,

and sometimes people I do not even know.

I come to you not with excuses

but with honesty:

I need your forgiveness.

And in receiving it, help me also to forgive —

myself, first, with the same mercy you extend to me,

and others, who have also fallen short.

Wash me clean.
